PANSY TEAPOT

Isn't this teapot unusual? It is decorated with an asymmetrical motif of pansies. Pansies have always been one of our favorite flowers. The bright colors are so vivid, with endless variations. This teapot is made from earthenware, low fire clay. The Greeks in 500 B.C. used an earthenware clay. They only had black and red to choose from. They did not have the modern conviences we enjoy today; electric kilns, potter's wheels and Chinese take out. See more TEAPOTS.
