The starting point for this earthenware pitcher was a pile of drawings from an elementary school art lesson. The drawings were comprised of brightly colored crayon geometric patterns. They were the result of demonstrations on how to compose a full page design. They are complex. After transposing the patterns to the pitcher, each color requires three layers of underglaze for the color to be opaque. It is quite labor intensive.See more PITCHERS
