Ideally, the surface of this
mask was intened to be a perfect mirror. Yet, the world it reflects would be
imperfect. Which, therefoe, would be perfect. Wow ! A conundrum ! If a mirror
reflects exactly what it sees, then what you see is what you get. Hence,
Ceramics WYSIWYG. This mask is glazed with a "metalic luster." The earlist
lusters were made in Iraq in the ninth century AD. The traditional process entailed converting
the surface of the vessle to a metal compound by “fuming” in a reduced oxygen atmosphere
