TEA AT SEA print

TEA AT SEA

This is a surreal pointilistic image. Surrealism means" more than real." Pointilism is a drawing or painting technique. It employs dots or points of color. By mixing the dots in various combinations, the illusion of a new, third, color is created. In other words, by mixing blue and yellow dots; the illusion of green is created. Therefore, the two colors are mixing optically, with light, to make a third color. What you " see " is really not there. It is literally in your head. Just like television! As you can see, this print uses pointilistic texture. It is an image of a huge teapot, bathing in the light of a lighthouse across the bay. See more LIGHTHOUSES or CERAMIC TEAPOTS
