COASTER LOOK INSIDE
One technique to consider is using a rib on the inside and the outside at the same time. This red rib is made from an aluminum coaster

The first image shows the lighting of a cylinder torch This is becoming a popular technique. It is seen more and more often in contempory ceramic books and magazines.
The second image demonstrates the heating of the pot on the wheel.
HEAT as the wheel turns. [ Sounds like a soap opera ! ]
Traditionally, pots are set aside at this point to firm up and dry out a bit before continuing. The torch excellorates the process.
The torch makes it possible to continue without delay.
It is okay to get the pot steamy hot. But be careful, do not burn yourself. red.button.gif
