In September, 1980; the red
coaster protected the patina of the table next to the
reclining chair in the living room of my house in Atlanta Geargia, USA.
My pottery studio, then, was around back, under the house with a
dirt floor and boards over the puddles when it rained.. All my ribs for
throwing were flat sided and could not support an arch. WHAT IF there
was a circle to support the arch on the inside of my pots.
Where could one be found, NOW !
VOILA ! The red coaster was the first, then the blue from the same set.
The others appeared over the years from yard sales and where ever.
