An ILLUSTRATED TUTORIAL |
AIR COMPRESSOR |
||
An Air Compressor is a vaulable tool in the studio. It has many practical uses; blowing off cleaning dust on bone dry ceramic and pottery; spray painting; numatic tool; blowing up pool toys and a last blast of air before glazing. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT, 33 YEARS WOULD PASS |

My BFA degree is in Printmaking.
The printmaking studio at the Atlanta college of Art had a dinky
little air compressor that everyone used constantly. It was not
strong enough to use for any major projects; like spray painting
or numatic tools. So, be fair warned not to get one that is too small.
My first printmaking studio in my second house
in a basement, next to the small rental apartment in March, 1970.
This 5 horse power, 220 volt compressor was on sale at the Sears Catalog
Closeout Center in downtown Atlanta. It has been with me ever since.
Choosing the 220 volt model proved to be a great choice.
