Did you ever find a really good ceramic book at a department store sidewalk sale? In June,1992; such a book found my hand.
It was about ceramic artists at the Arrowmont School in North Carolina. One of the artists made huge pots. She burned newspaper inside the pot to dry out the walls and strenghten them.
Our studio has a smoke alarm and there was no way to could burn newspaper without setting it off. What to do ?
WHAT ABOUT A PROPANE TORCH ?
Oh man, it worked great. It revived my enthusiasm.
Pictured here, are two propane torches. One is the hand held cylinder.
The other is a yard sale gem.
It is a torch that uses a 5 gallon [ 25 liter ] propane tank. Which was found [ half full ] discarded along the roadside. red button
