Homemade, long tapered, wooden knives are perfect for trimming cylinders. They are made from hard wood, red oak strips 1/4 inch x 18 inches [ 8mm x 46cm ] from the home improvement store. red.button.gif

After trimming the foot or base of the cylinder with a wooden knife; stop the wheel.
Slice the excess with a pin tool.
As the wheel turns slowly; under cut the excess with the


pin tool.

Lift and peel the excess away. red.button.gif
